On Dec. 23, 1987 in Hollywood, Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx was declared dead for two minutes after a near-fatal injection of heroin. In his autobiography, Sixx recalled how a girlfriend of Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash frantically gave the rocker mouth-to-mouth until paramedics arrived.
